Nintendo made sure to add older game titles from SNES and NES that will be present on the Switch . This information is known from the announcement made some time ago.
Quoted from Engadget , Friday (2/14/2020), one of the SNES titles that will present the Switch subscription service is Pop’n TwinBee. The plan is that the play game slot online will be released on Switch Online on February 19, 2020.
In addition, Nintendo will also bring Smash Tennis on the service. Meanwhile from the NES game, the Japanese company will present Shadow of the Ninja and Eliminator Boat Duel.
Please note, Nintendo first brought the game from SNES to Switch Online in September last year. For starters, the game brought by most famous titles, such as Super Mario Kart, Super Mario World, and A Link to the Past.
Despite bringing in a number of older games, the effort says games from SNES and NES will not be released regularly. This is evidenced by no other SNES titles brought to the Switch until December 2019.
In addition to SNES and NES, Nintendo will also bring a number of games from Wii U. It was reported by Emily Rogers, who is known for leaking Nintendo plans and projections accurately.
New Nintendo Switch Game Ported from Nintendo Wii U
“Nintendo has officially announced a remaster / remake of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE and Xenoblade Chronicles 1 for this year,” Emily was quoted as saying on Comic Book , Monday (1/6/2020).
In addition, Emily believes there are at least two new Nintendo Switch games ported from the Nintendo Wii U.
“The second title of the game is not difficult to guess because there aren’t many Wii U games left,” Emily said.
It’s not explicitly stated what the titles of the two games are, but many people call them both Super Mario 3D World and Pikmin 3. Apart from these leaks, we should wait for the company’s confirmation regarding this matter.
There Are No New Nintendo Switch Models This Year
On the other hand, this year Nintendo is said to be releasing a new Switch model that comes with a number of improvements.
However, as quoted by Reuters on Friday (1/31/2020), Nintendo CEO denied the rumors. He stressed that the company did not plan to release a new Nintendo Switch model.
To note, until the end of December 2019 the total Nintendo Switch devices that have been sold have reached more than 52 million units.
